We will create a custom quote based on the dates, times & spaces reserved for you.
A 50 percent, non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the dates. The balance is due 120 days later, or one month in advance of the event date, whichever comes first.
Choose from a variety of accommodations to suit your needs and preferences. Thistledown Farm is dog friendly and welcomes well behaved dogs with open arms. Overnight fees include use of your own private outdoor fire pit, free fire wood, outdoor lawn games, access to fresh and salt water for swimming, boating and kayaks.
For families or large groups, consider Pennysworth—a reconstructed dairy barn with a cathedral-peaked ceiling, spacious kitchen, living room and granite fireplace, plus 2 bedrooms, 2 lofts and 1 and a half bathrooms to accommodate up to 8 guests. Pennysworth guest can also enjoy a large stone terrace with chairs to relax in and a table to gather around. The most fun feature is a huge fire pit with ample room for guest to gather around. S’mores are a must!

Udder Heaven, on the lower level of Pennysworth, offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, laundry, a large open kitchen, dining and living area with a wood stove for the colder months. It has its own private, fenced in terrace with a firepit and ample seating. Udder Heaven can accommodate up to 6 guests. Available year-round. [link to more detailed info/photos on another page]
For loads of rustic charm, consider the Sheep Shed Cottage with a comfortable living room, 1920s era kitchen, bath, screened-in sitting room/dining area and sleeping loft. Can accommodate up to 5 guests in the super cool dormitory style loft plus 2 more in the pull out sofa below . Available May – October. [link to more detailed info/photos on another page]
For a rustic and cozy, yet glamorous “glamping experience,” consider Penny’s Perch, a comfortable yurt tucked away in a peaceful and private wooded setting. Furnished with a double bed, table, chairs, and dresser an outdoor gas grill, and firepit with unlimited free firewood. Available May-October. [link to more detailed info/photos on another page]
The Penobscot and Pemaquid glamping safari style tents are each furnished with beds for up to 2 guests, dining table, chairs, bar & work-station, covered porch with furniture, a gas grill, firepit, and unlimited firewood. Available May-October. [link to more detailed info/photos on another page]
There is an enclosed outdoor shower with running hot water and a commercial porta-potty available for the exclusive use of our Thistledown Glamping guests. Both are removed from the campsites, yet are an easy walk from the path from your site.large
Celebrate your special day your own way. Packages include up to 6 people with 2 nights accommodation for the bride and groom in our cozy yurt or one of our 2 romantic glamping tents. Choose your favorite spot on the farm, our private preserve, or authentic country chapel and design your own intimate ceremony and reception. We’ll take care of the rest!
Looking for something bigger than an elopement but smaller than a big expensive wedding? Consider a Micro- Wedding for up to 25 people. The wedding couple can enjoy 2 nights together in your choice of accommodations. Choose your favorite spot on the farm, our private preserve, or authentic country chapel and design your own intimate ceremony and reception. We’ll take care of the rest!

Stay local on the farm and feed the animals, enjoy kayaks, paddling, firepits, lawn games, forest adventures and a swimming hole.
All Thistledown Farm Guests receive an extensive Guide book that lists numerous activities; shopping, museums, historical sites, hiking, boat tours, swimming, restaurants, adventures and more! We even provide instructions for cooking lobsters.
Weave a colorful, durable, all-season doormat from upcycled lobster trap rope. Classes are offered on Wednesdays & Saturday mornings from June 15 – October 15, 2022. Reservations are required.
